Dog Helps Our Web Traffic From Facebook Spike 55%

In June, we paid for a one-week Facebook sponsored video post. The post featured a dog we met during a video shoot. On average, social media channels account for 15% of the overall traffic to our website. That number remained 15% during the week of the sponsored post. But on average, 26% of the social media traffic to our website originates from Facebook. That number spiked to 81% during the week of the sponsored post. Conclusions:  Our sponsored post did not increase our overall web traffic from social media. But the post sharply increased our visits via Facebook. We don’t expect this effort to lead to immediate results, but our goal is to begin laying the groundwork for new connections. And that takes time.
